Join NEPOMUK

If you are working for a a NEPOMUK consortium member company (see  list), or a project partner of such company, you may have a faster way to get an account through your project manager and the DFKI contacts. Please ask directly.

If you want to join NEPOMUK to contribute code, follow this path. We welcome you and want to get you acquainted with the project culture and programming process step by step.

  • Finish the complete NepomukTutorial, including reading the ProgrammingGuidelines.
  • Contributions not conforming to the guidelines could be deleted, to avoid that, know the project before committing.
  • Find a bug in the tickets that you can fix, fix it and submit us a patch via the mailing list
  • If your patch is accepted, you have shown that you indeed follow the ProgrammingGuidelines, if not, contact LeoSauermann.
  • Print, read, and sign the  Individual Contributor Agreement to verify that you have the right to your own intellectual property. We cannot accept contributions from employees of companies who forbid their employees to work in open source projects (= that also means, if you use our code, you can be quite sure that you have the right to do so because our contributors care for legal due diligence)
  • Send the  Individual Contributor Agreement to Thomas Kieninger from DFKI (address on the ICA).
  • Apply for an account at  http://config.opendfki.de
  • Inform LeoSauermann or GunnarGrimnes that you have an account and we will add you as contributors.

From that moment on, you have full commit rights on the repository, act responsible. Welcome to the team!
